Setup is a short list, and your pharmacy system stays as it is.

We set up your portal with you. You bring your formulary and your prescribers. Nothing is installed at the pharmacy or the clinic.

Getting started

Four steps, in this order.

  1. Your address. We create your pharmacy’s portal at an address like yourpharmacy.rxportal.app, and your admin account.
  2. Your brand. Upload your logo and choose your colors. Prescribers see your pharmacy’s name and look throughout.
  3. Your formulary. Add the products and sizes you want prescribers to order, with prices for reference, and publish them.
  4. Your prescribers. Invite them, or send them your portal address so they can request an account for you to approve. Add your staff and choose what each can do.

A day with RxPortal

The work you do today, with fewer interruptions.

  • Orders come to one queue. Typed, signed and complete, instead of a stack of faxes to read.
  • Questions go on the order. No phone tag. The prescriber answers by fixing the order and signing it again.
  • Entry into your pharmacy system is unchanged. Your staff enter each order there as now, then tick “Typed into PMS” so you can see what’s been entered.
  • Lots are logged as you dispense. The lot and expiration for each item go in before Ready, so the record exists before anyone asks for it.

What stays the same

RxPortal sits beside the way you work. It doesn’t replace it.

  • Your pharmacy system. RxPortal doesn’t connect to it, so nothing there changes.
  • Your fax line. Prescribers who aren’t on the portal yet can keep sending orders the way they do now.
  • Payment. RxPortal never takes payment. Bill the way you do today.
  • Controlled substances. Scheduled products can’t be ordered through the portal.
